Carmelite Book Study - April

Updated: 5 days ago

RESCHEDULED: date TBD. I’m so sorry to reschedule my dear friends, but this month has been so hectic for us, between Easter, the baby shower, travels, and birth classes. I had hoped to still squeeze in my reading, but got more worn out than I expected (yay third trimester haha!) I hesitated to reschedule, but I cannot do the book justice if I were to present the book study for it right now. I would love to plan on doing this book in May, but of course am not sure when exactly baby will arrive. I’ll take a poll on my Instagram story to see if you’d rather I wait and schedule a live after having the baby, or if you’d rather I just post a video whenever I’m up to it, and we can chat in the comments section.

Hello, friends!

As we continue to dive into Carmelite spirituality and the lives and writings of Carmelite saints, our next read is this gem, 'I Believe in Love'! I am not kidding that I have half this book underlined or highlighted - it's THAT good!

With chapters on confidence, abandonment to God, peace, charity, and so many other topics, this book is a moving and beautiful read for every soul that seeks to deepen their relationship with God.

Tuesday, April 30

4:00pm CST

(As always, the live meeting will be saved as a video on my YouTube channel for those who cannot make it!)

ALSO...aside from having the monthly live meeting, I have just made a forum on this blog, where we can converse and discuss the book throughout the month! I'm so excited to utilize this tool to connect more with you all and really immerse ourselves in the read! Join the chat here: https://carmelitehomemaker.wixsite.com/carmelite-homemaker/group/carmelite-book-study-1/discussion

I hope you will join us for the this month's book, as we journey with St. Therese, learning her gentle and childlike approach to God. And please share about this book study with others - Carmel has so much to offer any soul seeking God and growth in virtue!

Here are links to different options of where to buy the book:

There is also a study guide that is completely optional, but has beautiful and thought-provoking questions for journaling/personal reflection as you go through the book.

I am so excited to work through this book with you all, and I hope to see you at the book study!

Here is the saved video of this past month's book study meeting:
